My angel from heaven,
an answer to my prayer.
You knew when I needed you the most.
My shoulder to cry on,
my shelter in the storm.
Wiping back my tears
while fighting back yours,
making me smile like no one else can.
You're my addiction;
everything I could possibly want and need.

Winter
A breath of wind hushes the land
and every heart in it.
Snow gently starts to kiss the cold ground,
and I stand, crying.
The flowers have faded, the sun has gone.
Long summer days are no more.
My heart sinks at the signs of winter.
and every heart in it.
Snow gently starts to kiss the cold ground,
and I stand, crying.
The flowers have faded, the sun has gone.
Long summer days are no more.
My heart sinks at the signs of winter.
Trying
Trying to reach what I cannot see.
Trying to hold onto what I don't have.
Trying not to cry when tears fill my eyes.
Trying to talk when I cannot speak.
Trying to step when I cannot even see.
Trying to run when there's no where to hide.
Trying to escape this feeling inside.
Trying to hold onto what I don't have.
Trying not to cry when tears fill my eyes.
Trying to talk when I cannot speak.
Trying to step when I cannot even see.
Trying to run when there's no where to hide.
Trying to escape this feeling inside.
Dancing in the Rain
The rain hits my window
with a perfect rhythmic pulse,
following the rhythm of my heart.
It draws me past my door
out into the open air
where I am free.
My bare feet become covered in water
and soil as I circle around, hands in the air,
eyes towards the heavens, crying for joy.
My hair sticks to my face,
my clothes are drenched with water,
sweet water.
A feeling of peace shutters over my body
as the healing power of rain
starts its work.
with a perfect rhythmic pulse,
following the rhythm of my heart.
It draws me past my door
out into the open air
where I am free.
My bare feet become covered in water
and soil as I circle around, hands in the air,
eyes towards the heavens, crying for joy.
My hair sticks to my face,
my clothes are drenched with water,
sweet water.
A feeling of peace shutters over my body
as the healing power of rain
starts its work.
A Poem for Mom
You taught when I was young
to never be afraid.
To always believe
you'd be with me everyday.
You held my fragile body
in your loving, caring arms
to tell me I'm protected
from any certain harms.
You never did give up, mom,
you've managed to stay strong,
even when the things I did
were very, very wrong.
I know I can't repay you.
I couldn't begin to try.
I love you so much, mom,
until the day I die.
to never be afraid.
To always believe
you'd be with me everyday.
You held my fragile body
in your loving, caring arms
to tell me I'm protected
from any certain harms.
You never did give up, mom,
you've managed to stay strong,
even when the things I did
were very, very wrong.
I know I can't repay you.
I couldn't begin to try.
I love you so much, mom,
until the day I die.
Far Away
Take me far away
so I can forget all my troubles
and sorrows that weight me down.
Here, I feel so lost
and out of place, like a
dead man drifting through time.
Someone bring me back
so I may feel loved again.
so I can forget all my troubles
and sorrows that weight me down.
Here, I feel so lost
and out of place, like a
dead man drifting through time.
Someone bring me back
so I may feel loved again.
Sing
Let every note echo off silent walls.
Sing every word with an undying passion.
Breathe deep, breathe strong.
Smile and laugh until it's over.
Close your eyes and picture a world
beyond imagination.
Sing like not one person is listening.
Sing every word with an undying passion.
Breathe deep, breathe strong.
Smile and laugh until it's over.
Close your eyes and picture a world
beyond imagination.
Sing like not one person is listening.
